Fabian Essays
In December 1889, the Fabian Essays in Socialism were published. The Fabian Essays, a collection of lectures by a small middle-class club determined to make socialism respectable in Britain, and edited by the then-unknown George Bernard Shaw, enjoyed a surprising success upon its publication.
