Kellynch Hall is a fictional location in Jane Austen's Persuasion located in Gloucester (45). The estate is the family home of the Elliots and has an entail on it, making Mr. William Elliot the heir. Sir Walter Elliot is the current Baronet living on the estate at the beginning of the novel with two of his daughters, Elizabeth Elliot and Anne Elliot, but he is soon forced to lease it to Admiral Croft and his wife due to his reckless spending habits (53, 71).
