Located in New York City, New York, the second officially established police department in the United States was the New York Police Department. This police department, like all of the police departments in the United States to some extent, was heavily influenced by the London Metropolitan Police. It was established in 1844, and it was organized similarly to the military in its command structure like the London Metropolitan Police. The uniforms of the New York Police Department were also similar to London’s police force, as they were also blue, military style, and had badges on them for identification. The uniforms established a sense of authority, and this impacted the presence and perception of the police department by the public. The Photographer's studio and primary location were San Francisco California. This image was captured in 1936 and Americans were still suffering from effects of the stock market crash of 1929. This was an important period during American history because this leads to more government regulation and helped rebuild the America we live in today. This image humanized the effects of the stock market crash. People around the world were able to see a sneak peek of what life was like in America. The women in the iconic image, Florence Owens became a symbol of courage and Endurance by simply sharing her story. This image impacted how people perceived the great depression in the United States. The image was so powerful that it became a key factor in the development of the Farm Security Administration. The FSA was a new deal agency formed the year after the image was taken...

The original anime run of Sailor Moon was premiered in Japan on March 7, 1992 in Japan and serves as the place of origin for the internation pop culture icon Sailor Moon and her and the anime's impact on Fashion, aesthetics, and perceptions of magical girl genre and girl's fantasy romance. This series was leading the way for normalizing LGBTQA+ content in the '90s despite being heavily censored overseas, the theme of love, friendship, and women empowerment is seen and heard even today.
