Albany Street

Albany Street is approximately three-quarters of a mile long and runs from Marylebone Road to Gloucester Gate along Regent’s Park. It was named for Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany and was built in the late 1820s. At 55 Albany, a blue plaque commemorates Henry Mayhew, a social researcher and reformist. Noted poet Christina Rossetti once lived at 166 Albany.
