Auerstedt
Auerstedt is a village in the state of Thuringia in central Germany, now part of the town Bad Sulza. The twin battles of Jena-Auerstedt took place on 14 October 1806 between Napoleon and Frederick William III of Prussia, and as a result of Napoleon’s victory, the Kingdom of Prussia was subjugated to the French Empire.
