British Psychological Society
Founded in 1901 at University College, London, the British Psychological Society (BPS) represents UK psychologists and aims to raise standards of psychology training and practice. Though it initially accepted only teachers, by 1919, it welcomed members in the medical profession. The main office is in Leicester with small, regional offices located throughout the UK.
